Default unethical sales

To all our members here, kindly take note of seller nick " johndice" at shc two days (30th aug)ago i bgt a mirror from him for dc5 ($220)n we met and deal at his accessories shop at ang mo kio.On the very next day i went to my workshop to fix and found out the mirror was not fitting as both mirror are out of sight. immediately i call n sms the seller to report him the issue that he told me the mirror was ok n for my ride. he then infd ok to refund me the next day. i even offer to exchange for other dc5 items so i took a day off ( seller infd to meet up ) on 31st aug . numerous call n sms to no avail. I was worry seller could b bz with work or watever but at least shd hv reply to postpone the meet up.
worst nightmare came, i saw him repost at forum shc on 1st sept 10pm. that means i am right ,seller had no intention to meet up , i call him again n surprisingly he answer but he challenge me n ask me go make police report or to case.
bro here, kindly advise , shd i go to report him as this is the 1st time i came across such a unethical salesman. i do not wish our member here to suffer the same agony i went thru..

My suggestion is to copy this article of yours and paste it as a reply to this seller's posting in SHC forum.

Then see what is his reply and/or how he wanna wriggle out of the situation you've created for him.

Cheers!

i am not the only victim. shc there is another victim. i agreed with ur statement.. ll but if one people point him, he go scot free, if four victim pointed at him.. i think there is a case ... nvr in my life met such an arrogant n aggressive salesman.yelling n throwing abusive language n challenge buyer to lodge report .. its rather insane.

if u super dulan, goto his WTS, quote his sales items, give a CLEAR STORY of the issue, make it clear and concise, post his mobile number. dont get angry, get even. inform the mods there too of this cuckoo. best if can support from his SMS to you. scan it in, take a photo. with proof, u cannot take legal action, but its more believable to forummers, and people will take note and avoid this goon.

I can't agree more with bro icebear. Dun get angry, get even, expose this person with concrete evidence and let the forumers judge for themselves. Recently, I also encountered a similar incident here. The person was a gentleman looking guy, speaking english and wearing formal attire. bro JBourne was there with me and I think he will know who I'm talking about although im not exposing this person for now yet. After realizing that something is wrong with his item, I tried contacting him but no reply whatsoever. well, like you, giving him the benefit of doubt that he's busy and im still waiting for that person to get back to me with a reply today. sometimes, its not abt the money already. its that u feel u deserve at least an apology, rather than being ignored and avoided. and im sure as adults, we will be willing to forget abt the incident and move on. we're not wearing skirts! and afterall, the dc5 fratenity here isnt big and its also a kind of fate to be driving the same make and model of ride here in sg.

I empathize with you bro. ah heng and some of the guys at his workshop that night, got to know of my plight and reminded me of the same thing that i would like to share here. Moral of the story: Inspect and scrutinize the product thoroughly, ask questions, or best bring it to a reliable workshop (i'll never go anywhere except SKM to verify authenticity or working condition of a car part from now on) to ensure that it's working first before handing over the cash. Even if it doesn't seem to be a very courteous gesture. still, make it a rule of thumb. Absolutely nothing wrong because U have the right to do so as the paying party. Remember, being a customer, u can always choose to walk away any time once u detect something is amiss. Nowadays, there is nothing of the sort such as deal by trust when it comes to money transactions. anyone can play u out just to earn that quick buck. U may trust that person but think again, do u think he will trust u if roles are reversed? u can only tell a case of misplaced trust after u learn it from the hard way bro.. and when that happens, its all too late....

help from shop owner.the owner just clarified that he will look into the matter as the salesman merely consigned his stuff for sale over there n they are not aware of his action.he is not the staff there n will stood in to resolve the issue amicably.
